Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Grateful Heart Gallery and Gifts

Grateful Heart Pottery has expanded and evolved into Grateful Heart Gallery and Gifts, and will celebrate the grand opening of its storefront and studio location on September 24th, 2010.  This new downtown business houses a beautiful gallery and gift shop area, and includes a full working pottery studio, a 'family room' and artist work space.  The family room allows parents the opportunity to attend in house art classes or shop undistracted, while children are safely nearby.  The gallery celebrates locally-made, high quality art and fine hand-crafted gifts in diverse media like pottery (porcelain & stoneware), mosaics, textile art, illustrations, recycled/green art, fused & slumped jewelry, glass pieces, botanical spa products, and functional items for everyday use.

The artists of Grateful Heart include Diane Gee, Rachel Witt, Robin Picket and Gail Johnston and their work reflects a broad range of cultural influences.  For the Grand Opening, the art work of the animals of Columbian Park Zoo provides a special community link, and will complement Robin Pickett’s new African themed pieces.
