Ferguson named Wabash Center CFO

  Richard Ferguson of West Lafayette has been named chief financial officer of Wabash Center Inc., a not-for-profit organization that annually serves more than 1,800 people with disabilities or special needs.

 An Anderson, Ind., native, graduate of Ball State University and a certificated public accountant, Ferguson most recently was chief financial officer for SSCI, an Aptuit Co. He previously served as vice president and treasurer for Greater Lakes Chemical, now Chemtura, and earlier worked for a major accounting firm in Chicago.

 

His wife, Marilyn Ferguson, is principal of Southwestern Middle School. They are the parents of two grown children.  

Wabash Center’s divisions include First Steps, coordinating services for families with an infant or toddler diagnosed with developmental delays; Kids’ Connection, a licensed childcare center; Adult Day Services, providing rehabilitation and vocational training, counseling and case management; Assisted Living Services, offering group homes, supported living, in-home services, and respite; Greenbush Industries, where consumers perform work contracted from area businesses; EmployAbilities, offering employment services for people with disabilities and special needs; and Tippecanoe Adult Guardianship Services, recruiting, training and pairing volunteer guardians to advocate for incapacitated adults.
